Langer to play Boeing Classic |

Two-time Masters Champion Bernhard Langer has committed to play in the 2008 Boeing Classic, being held August 18-24 at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge. A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, the German-born Langer began playing on the Champions Tour after turning 50 in late 2007. Now in his first full season on the Champions Tour, Langer currently ranks first on the money list with two tournament victories at the Toshiba Classic and Ginn Championship. Langer began playing professionally in 1972 at the age of 15 and joined the European Tour in 1976. He has earned 42 European Tour victories and two green jackets for his Masters wins in 1985 and 1993, but may be best known, especially in the US, for his Ryder Cup performances. After playing on the European team a totoal of ten times, Langer served as captain in 2004 and led his team to its biggest win ever over the United States at Oakland Hills in Michigan. About The Boeing Classic The Boeing Classic is an Official Event of the PGA Champions Tour. In the tournament's three-year history, more than 2.3 million dollars has been raised for The Heart Institute at Virginia Mason Medical Center and additional Greater Seattle Charities. The 2008 event will be played at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge from August 18-24. Highlights during the course of the week include the NFL Alumni Rumble at the Ridge Charity Golf Classic (August 18), the Champions Tour Youth Clinic (August 19) and the Seattle Seahawks Pro-Am (August 20-21).
