Couples; first round 69

Fred Couples, making his 28th start at the Northern Trust Open (or Glen Campbell Los Angeles Open, or Los Angeles Open, or Nissan Open, etc), shot a two-under-par 69 in today's first round to finish the day in a tie for 23rd. In his bag was a square-grooved Ping wedge, a version of the club that caused all the hoopla surrounding Phil Mickelson in San Diego last week. Full story
