Chambers Bay has proclaimed May as Pierce County Resident Appreciation Month. Residents can invite up to three guests residing outside Pierce County to join them Sunday through Thursday and pay the Pierce County rate. For reservations and more information, call 253-460-4653. Residents must present valid identification to receive the lower rate.  Make friends with a Pierce Co. Resident! "This is an excellent opportunity for the friends and family of Pierce County golfers to play the course the United States Golf Association selected to hold its most prestigious championships, the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur," said Pierce County Executive John W. Ladenburg, whose vision and leadership are credited for making Chambers Bay possible. Resident fees for May through September are $95 Monday through Thursday and $115 Friday through Sunday. Players from outside the county and not playing with a Pierce County resident would normally pay $155 and $170, respectively. Chambers Bay has received an unprecedented number of industry accolades since opening in June 2007.
