Dan Whitaker, Washington's only remaining player in the US Men's Amateur Public Links Championship, went out in the second round this morning, losing 6&5 to Randall Hutchison of Traverse City, MI. 21-year-old Hutchison, a senior at Michigan State University was five under fours when the match finished on the 13th green. T34th in strokeplay qualifying, Hutchison also won his third round match this afternoon beating Andrew Paulson 7&5 and must now be considered a favorite for the tournament. Randy Hutchison |
