Vedadi earns spot at US Mid-Amateur |

Touraj Jason Vedadi of Spokane Valley, WA, shot a seven-under-par 65 at his home course; Spokane Country Club, Friday to lead the 18-man field at a US Mid-Amateur sectional qualifier. Joining Vedadi at the championship, to be played at Milwaukee CC in River Hills, WI, will be Mike Pinkney of Aptos, CA. who was two strokes back with a 4-under par 67. Brian Phillips of Snoqualmie, WA, and Kent Brown of Colville, WA, shot 69 and 70 respectively to finish third and fourth. They will be alternates at the championship which runs from September 6th to the 11th.
