Five local women qualified to tee it up at the U.S. Women's Amateur golf tournament being played this week in Eugene, Oregon. Of those five, only Erynne Lee of Silverdale made it through to the match play portion of the event consisting of 64 of the top female amateurs from around the world. On Wednesday, Lee defeated Paola Moreno of Colubia 1 up to advance to the round of 32. She'll take on Cindy Lacrosse of Tampa Florida today. Good luck Erynne! Amy Enroth from Spokane, University of Washington golfer Nicole Ferrero, Sadena Parks of Puyallup and Bellingham native Paige Rachor all made the trip to Eugene but failed to advance beyond the stroke play qualifying portion of the event. Congrats to you all for your fine play in even getting to Eugene!
