Stanford won the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at Sahalee CC Wednesday, finishing with a three-day total of 905, 41-over-par - 16 better than Oregon in second. The Huskies, led by Karinn Dickinson, came third, a shot behind Oregon on 922. Starting the day with a two-stroke lead, Stanford shot a tournament best 299 in the final round to complete the victory.
A Cardinal also took the individual title, senior Mari Chun posting 218, +2, to beat Idaho's Kayla Mortarello by four strokes and Dickinson by eight.

Afterward, Husky coach, Mary Lou Mulflur, was satisfied with her team's final round performance. 'I think that, realistically speaking, third was a goal for us on the last day after we looked at the scoreboard,' she said. 'It's disappointing to get third because you always want to win, but I'm proud of them for what they did today.'
Dickinson was the Huskies' mainstay throughout the tournament, her vastly improved short game proving crucial. 'You can tell she worked really hard on chipping and putting in the offseason,' said Mulflur. 'She has the length and temperament for this level, but that work she is putting into her short game is what will see her go from a good player to a great player.'
The Cougars finished ninth on 944 while Eastern Washington University came in 13th on 967.
