Ryan Hallisey of Granite Bay, CA, shot a 3rd round 68 Thursday to maintain his slender lead at the 42nd Pacific Coast Amateur Championship being played at Royal Colwood in Victoria, BC. The 20-year-old University of Nevada junior heads into tomorrow’s final round one shot ahead of Jordan Irwin of Calgary, AB, and Derek Tolan of Boulder, CO.
All three played in the final group and each shot 68. Hallisey is at 11-under par 199 over the 6,683-yard, par-70 layout, while Irwin and Tolan are at 10-under par. The trio will play in the final group again tomorrow. Tomorrow’s tee times begin at 8 a.m. off of the 1st and 10th tees, with the lead group teeing off at the 1st at 9:57 a.m.
Washington's top two performers; Jarin Todd and Andrew Putnam, are part of a seven-way tie for 13th after rounds of 74 and 66 respectively. They will start the fourth round, nine shots behind Hallisey. Erik Hanson and Richard Lee are tied for 21st on  211. TJ Bordeaux, meanwhile, shot a 68 in round three and is 15 behind Hallisey in a tie for 38th.
