 Membership to the Tour entitles players to compete head-to-head against other players at their same skill level. Players are divided amongst six flights based on an initial verifiable USGA Handicap Index®. In order to prevent 'sandbagging' all Tour members are eventually flighted by rounds played exclusively on the Golf Channel Amateur Tour.
Golf Channel Amateur Tour events are generally stroke play and USGA® rules apply. Local Tour schedules consist of both one-day and two-day events. Each event will have a separate entry fee that will vary based on the type of event and host course. Players accumulate 'Order of Merit' points based on their finish in each event. These points will be used for season-ending prizes as well as a method of qualifying for the National Championships.
